In order to start a career as a commercial truck driver in Oregon, you must pass a CDL test from DMV. For that you’ll need a quality CDL training school.

Classroom Instruction
The classroom is where you will receive all the information you need to pass the written portion of the Class A CDL exam.
Hands On “Behind-the-Wheel” Training
Experience behind the wheel is the most important aspect of training successful and safe drivers. Your training behind the wheel will include one on one instruction and practice driving on our property, local Oregon roads, highways, and on Interstate 5 to prepare you for the exam, and hands on practice to make you a safe and confident driver

Job Placement Assistance
Placement assistance will be offered and will be an ongoing search for the school, as well as the student. NWTA (NW Trucking Academy, Inc.) will be corresponding with various trucking companies in Albany Oregon and all over Oregon setting up an ongoing projection of needed students for the future hiring of the trucking companies for drivers.
The goal is to have a job set up for the student upon graduation. Some students will be trained for a specific employer to do special tasks, such as pulling a Tanker with additional training only needed for a tanker situation. Help will be given throughout the training period with correctly written resumes, as well as helping with the interview process; however, it is the students responsibility to find employment. NWTA cannot guarantee hiring of any job applied for.
